Mexico City, December 5, 2023 - Ingredion in Mexico received the “HRC Equidad MX: Global Labor Equity Program 2024” certification awarded by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) for being one of the best places to work for the LGBTQ+ community, having non-discrimination policies, diversity, and inclusion boards, publicly visible actions and commitments, and training on LGBTQ+ matters. All these efforts rendered the Company worthy of the maximum certification rating.

"We are proud to be part of the HRC Equidad MX 2024 index with a perfect score for the fourth year in a row. Our purpose inspires us to invest in our people and be a diverse and inclusive Company where we all belong and, together, make life better,” said Jaime Lopez Jimenez, president and general director of Ingredion in Mexico.

This year, the Human Rights Campaign presented its seventh report, HRC Equidad MX: Global Labor Equity Program. The foundation, through the report, evaluated 305 companies and awarded the HRC Equidad MX certification to 253, of which 74 are part of Expansion's Magazine Ranking of the 500 Most Important Companies in Mexico, Ingredion Mexico among them. "This 2024 cycle has brought us many new satisfactions. We thank the new companies and welcome all the innovative work that is being done as we continue to move forward in Mexico," says Francisco Robledo, implementing partner of HRC Equidad MX.

"Ingredion is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and works year-round for LGBTQ+ inclusion. Our diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy is based on three pillars: diverse talent, inclusive culture, and strategic partnerships. Our business resource groups are key to building an inclusive work environment and help us achieve our business goals," added Samantha Renovato, Ingredion’s global director of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

“At Ingredion Mexico, we have a pillar of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion + Belonging (DEI) through which we continue to develop actions in favor of our Sustainable Living 'All Life' strategy, such as the presence of our DEI committee, a PRIDE business resource group (BRG) and other BRGs in favor of equity and inclusion. Achieving this certification is a great recognition that leads us to acknowledge and thank all the work of PRIDE in the Company. With PRIDE, we learn and work together to achieve all our DEI objectives.” said Marcela Martinez Pichardo, director of public and regulatory affairs at Ingredion Mexico.
