Throughout the year, Ingredion locations worldwide have hosted "kids days" or "family days, " providing employees the ability and time to share what they do at work with their families. Each location plans its special events and programs to fit with its location. Below are a few examples of what the different regions have organized. 

United States
Ingredion locations across the United States opened their doors to the employees' children during Bring Your Child to Work Day, an annual event nationwide to provide kids with a look into the working world for a day of activities. This year, 41 kids participated at our Westchester, Ill. headquarters and learned about the incredible products the Company produces. From making stress balls out of corn starch to creating unique formulas for putty, we made sure they had a blast! 

Asia-Pacific
Our manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China organized "INGR - Second Generation," a special day where colleagues could bring their children to work. Safety was the top priority, with our environmental health and safety team providing important tips tailored specifically for kids. The day was filled with creativity, including DIY crafts, chess matches, and more. 

Mexico
In Guadalajara, we kicked off the day with a safety talk and then dove into discussing the ingredients used to create sweets (with samples, of course!). The kids also got a group tour of our offices and even cooked their own sandwiches and mug cakes. Board games and special recognition made the day even more memorable. At IEC, the kids were welcomed by our directors and enjoyed activities like making mug cakes and identifying aromas in the sensory laboratory. They also got to explore our offices and laboratories.
