At our Bridgewater, New Jersey location, nine members of our process technology group spent a morning at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey to prepare, load and sort food packages for senior citizens in need. The food bank is a member of Feeding America^® and has been delivering food, help, and hope across the state for over 45 years. It was started in the back of the founder's station wagon in downtown Newark and has since grown into the largest anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization in New Jersey.

Our team joined the larger group of volunteers in organizing 525 boxes of food, equivalent to nearly 19,000 meals for seniors in need. Almost 4,000 of these boxes are delivered each month throughout the state, according to Xenia Ferencevych, corporate volunteer manager for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

"Thank you for organizing and leading this morning's hardworking volunteer group from Ingredion," said Ferencevych in a letter to the Ingredion team. "It was a pleasure to meet and welcome all of you. Your assistance today will make a difference in the lives of the people we serve."
