2021 Update: Indianapolis volunteers participate in Habitat for Humanity's Agriculture Build

11/26/21

Ingredion’s Indianapolis team continued the tradition of participating in Habitat for Humanity’s Agriculture Build during the Indiana State Fair. As in previous years, the new home was constructed on a moveable platform, where visitors observed the construction progress during the 18-day run of the fair. Once completed, the house was moved in its entirety to its new neighborhood.

“This event provides us a unique opportunity to collaborate and build relationships in addition to helping build a new home for a deserving family,” said Mark Macrander, director of specialty grain, North America supply chain. “It’s a great experience to work alongside the new homeowner; we literally help create a new framework that has a direct impact on their quality of life.”

For over a decade, employees from Ingredion’s Indianapolis manufacturing plant and North office have volunteered at the Agriculture Build event. This year, the Company’s specialty grains and plant science group sponsored the event.
